Alabama Taxpayers Can Now Prepare Amended Returns Online with TurboTax Until Nov. 15
MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- In cooperation with the Alabama state Department of Revenue, Intuit Inc. has extended availability of TurboTax Online from Oct. 23, 2016 to Nov. 15, 2016 to enable Alabama taxpayers affected by errors in TurboTax Alabama state software to prepare an amended return online until that date. The errors, most of which are uncommon tax situations, have been fixed.
Affected taxpayers can follow the instructions in the email they received from TurboTax to easily amend their return so they can claim an additional refund or pay any balance that may be due. After Nov. 15, TurboTax customers will need to amend their return using a free desktop download TurboTax software.
Customers who have questions or need assistance can call TurboTax directly at 1-877-216-2138 and tell the TurboTax agent they are calling about their 2015 Alabama return.
