New Version Easily Handles Life's Big Changes, Instantly Answers Questions and Helps Minimize Audit Risk

SAN DIEGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--

Intuit Inc. (Nasdaq: INTU) today introduced the new version of TurboTax(R), the No. 1 rated, best-selling tax preparation software in the nation year after year.

TurboTax for the 2007 tax year personalizes tax preparation based on customers' specific tax needs, creating a true 'Right for Me' experience that easily handles life's big changes. A new Live Community draws on the collective knowledge of millions of TurboTax customers to put answers on every page and a new Audit Risk Meter(TM) protects taxpayers by helping them minimize their audit risk before they file.

"TurboTax 2007 is the result of a singular focus on ease. We've created a dramatically simplified tax preparation experience to delight customers," said Kiran Patel, general manager of TurboTax. "By making TurboTax the easiest tax software to use, we help customers get the best possible outcome on their taxes."

Do-it-yourself tax preparation has never been easier. TurboTax for
2007:

-- Easily handles life's changes: TurboTax personalizes tax
preparation based on information customers provide at the
start of the interview. Answers to a few simple questions help
TurboTax zero in on areas in the tax return where customers
have changes and questions. This is especially important for
the 70 percent of taxpayers who have a life-changing event
every year. Buying a new home, changing jobs, having a child
or getting married all change a person's tax situation. By
getting to know the customer from the very beginning, TurboTax
makes it easy for customers to get the best possible outcome,
helping them find and get the most from every tax deduction.

-- Easily answers questions: The new TurboTax Live Community,
available in TurboTax Online products, puts answers to
questions on every screen. This breakthrough dramatically
simplifies how people get answers by putting the collective
knowledge of TurboTax customers at a user's fingertips. The
five most-popular answers are listed on each page, so there's
no need to search or call someone. Moderated by TurboTax CPAs
and enrolled agents, the community includes a rating and
ranking system so the best answers rise to the top.

-- Protects taxpayers every step of the way: TurboTax 2007 gives
customers added confidence by helping them minimize their risk
of an IRS audit before they file. A new Audit Risk Meter
targets common audit triggers in a tax return and provides
simple, actionable guidance to help customers reduce the
        chance of an audit.
